What we do
Nothing gets farmed out to a dealer three hours away. Engines come out here, clutches get set up here, and the trailer that is holding up your load gets fixed here.
The everyday work that keeps a unit earning — brakes, air, suspension, electrical, lights and trailer running gear.
Day or nightDown on a lease road, a shoulder or a customer's yard? We load the service truck and come to the unit.
Major engine work done here — pulled, apart on the stand, back together and back in the truck.
Clutches, flywheels and driveline — pulled, measured and set up properly so it lives.

“We were hauling an Oversize Load through Dickinson and had an overheating problem and called Peterbilt, Kenworth, wall works, International, Butler Cat and not one place would help us out in over 150 miles. Not knowing about Sunrise as their shop was pretty new in Dickinson on my last call someone suggested these guys. Hands down the best Customer service and mechanic (Walter) we've seen on a lot of years over the road. They were willing to help us no matter the day, time or problem. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!”

(701) 264-0054Yes. We run our own service trucks and we do emergency call-outs — that is a large part of what we do out here. Call, tell us where the unit is and what it is doing, and we will tell you straight away whether it can be fixed where it sits or whether it needs to come in.
Yes. The shop runs eight to six on weekdays and eight to five on the weekend, but a truck does not only break during business hours. Call the shop number and it gets to us — customers have had us out at two in the morning at twenty below.
No. Walk-ins are welcome. If it is a big job it helps to call first so we can have a bay and the parts ready, but you are not going to get turned away for pulling in.
Trailers, water and vacuum trailers, tankers, oilfield and farm equipment, service trucks, and diesel motorhomes. If it has a diesel in it and it is broken, start with a phone call.
Three of them: HD Diesel in Killdeer and Williston, and Sunrise Diesel in Dickinson. Same crew, same way of doing things — whichever one is closest to where you are sitting.
